Studio Assistant

London Full-time

Reporting to the HR and Office Manager, the Studio Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the Office Management function but also provides support to the Marketing and Production departments. The main purpose of the role is to assist with the smooth running of the studio and to provide all-round support to this fast-paced and thriving video games publisher. This is an exciting opportunity to gain entry into the video games industry.


Responsibilities include:


Office Management

  • Front of house; answering and directing calls, greeting visitors and offering refreshments, accepting deliveries, managing the meeting room calendars
  • Administration assistance; scanning, sending and filing documents, sending and distributing post, arranging couriers
  • Maintaining kitchen, drinks, fruit and stationery stock, placing orders when necessary
  • Assisting in maintaining the general appearance of the office; ensuring meeting rooms, kitchen and office areas are tidy at-all-times, keeping the office plants sufficiently watered
  • Business travel; co-ordinating budgets, making bookings and tracking spend
  • Finance assistance; purchasing office supplies when requested, tracking Office Management spend and working with department heads to reconcile the monthly credit card statements
  • Health and safety; assisting the HR and Office Manager in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, monitoring SignIn App to ensure all staff are signed in/out as necessary
  • Covering other office management duties when required to meet business needs


Marketing

  • Providing ad hoc B2B and B2C events support; aiding CRM activity, prep work according to briefing materials, guest liaison and game demos if required 
  • First point of contact for the marketing and Hello email addresses, monitoring inquires then filtering to the correct personnel 
  • Documenting sales figures for all Curve titles on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Acting as Discord moderator
  • Supporting the Social Media Manager when required
  • First point of contact for external game code requests
  • Ad-hoc support as necessary


Production

  • Providing QA support to the team during busy periods when required
  • Performing tasks as requested to assist in the smooth running of the Production department

Requirement

  • Highly organised with an excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with good written and spoken English
  • Ideally educated to A level or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Enthusiasm to start a career in the gaming industry
